Quilt Along for a Cause - Homecoming for Hurricane Relief
Join Us for the November Quilt-Along and Help Support Hurricane Relief!
At GE Designs, we love bringing the quilting community together to create, learn, and give back. This November, we are thrilled to host a special Quilt-Along (QAL) on Tipsy Tuesday, featuring the stunning Homecoming pattern by Lo & Behold Stitchery. Not only is this a chance to work on a beautiful project, but it’s also an opportunity to make a difference and support our colleagues at Lo & Beold.
Lo & Behold Stitchery is located in Black Mountain NC and were severely affected with hurricane Helene, both personally and their store. The community is of course greatly affected and will need ongoing support to recover. Lo & Behold is generously donating 50% of all pattern sales to hurricane relief efforts through October 19th. To amplify this incredible gesture, GE Designs will match the 50% of a Homecoming pattern sale to the same relief fund when our customers write “hurricane” in the order comments at checkout when purchasing fabric for the Homecoming quilt, through the month of October.

- Quilting Together: The November Quilt-Along will be featured on the Tipsy Tuesday show, starting on November 5th, where Gudrun Erla will walk you through the Stripologized version of cutting for this quilt. It’s a chance to ask questions, learn tips, and quilt alongside others.
How to Get Involved:
- Purchase the Homecoming Pattern: Head over to Lo & Behold Stitchery to purchase your pattern. Please purchase the PDF pattern if you can since mail is running a little slow in that area.
- Gather Your Supplies: Prepare your fabrics and tools, and follow along with our tips for color selection and fabric prep. If you purchase fabric from us for this QAL, please write Hurricane in the notes when checking out and we will match the pattern donation throught the month of October. If you need inspiration, the Oct 15th Tipsy Tuesday had excellent fabric recommendations.
- Tune In to Tipsy Tuesday: Join us for the Quilt-Along starting on November 5th’s Tipsy Tuesday, where Gudrun will guide you through the process. We will conveniently post links to the shows where the QAL is featured here on this page.
