Introducing the Building Blocks Block of the Month

We are so excited to share Gudrun’s brand-new FREE Block of the Month program, Building Blocks! This year-long quilt-along is designed with new quilters in mind, but even seasoned quilters will find plenty of tips, techniques, and aha moments along the way.

Building Blocks is all about creating a strong foundation in quilting. Each month focuses on essential skills and classic block construction, helping quilters build confidence one block at a time. This program offers a thoughtful, step-by-step approach that makes learning approachable and fun, regardless of if you’re just starting your quilting journey or looking to refine your process.

The program runs over the course of 11 months, with a new block released on every second Tuesday of the month. Then, in month 12, you’ll receive the finishing instructions to bring all of your blocks together into a completed quilt. By the end, you’ll not only have a beautiful quilt, but also a solid understanding of techniques you can carry into future projects.

While Building Blocks is beginner-friendly, experienced quilters will also benefit from Gudrun’s efficient methods, clear instruction, and clever construction tips. It’s a great opportunity to slow down, revisit the basics, and maybe even learn a new trick or two.

To get the most out of this Block of the Month, we highly recommend using the Master Your Stripology® Ruler book along with Stripology® rulers. These tools are not required, but they will help you cut more accurately, work more efficiently, and better understand the techniques being taught throughout the program.
