    Rewatch any step and finish at your own pace.

Meet your hosts

Gudrun Erla

Founder of GE Designs. Gudrun grew up in Iceland and started the company there. She has written more than twenty quilt books, designs fabric for Andover, and teaches every step of the retreat herself.

Mr. HP

Co-host, game master and the life of every retreat. Mr. HP keeps the laughs coming from the first Zoom to the last stitch. Ask any retreater about him!

Questions

Do I need to be an experienced quilter?

No. Go at your own pace, and use the time to learn and talk with other quilters. Gudrun teaches every step live, and the video demos are yours to rewatch forever.

Which rulers do I need?

We recommend the Stripology XL, Stripology Squared and Stripology Squared Mini rulers.

How big are the quilts?

Both are lap size. Britt finishes at 60" x 80" and Audrey at 54" x 72".

What if I miss part of a day?

The video demos are yours forever, so you can catch up any time.

What time zone is the retreat in?

Central Time. Zoom opens at 8:00 am and we start at 9:00 or 9:30 am each retreat day. Your schedule in your GE Designs account has the exact start.

I've never used Zoom. Can I join?

Yes. We run a practice Zoom before the retreat, and step-by-step Zoom instructions wait in your GE Designs account.

Can I join from outside the US?

Yes. We ship your Retreat Box to you. Your order has two items, the box and your Digital Access, and customs only applies to the box. Choose "Outside the United States" when you order and we add both.

When does my Retreat Box arrive?

Before the retreat, so you're ready on day one.

I reserved a spot. How does my deposit work?

Log in with the account you reserved on and your $50 deposit comes off automatically at checkout.

What is your refund policy?

Need to cancel? Contact us before your Retreat Box ships and we'll refund your retreat order. Your $50 reservation deposit is non-refundable after October 1, 2026.
