A Master Craftsman, A Quiet Inspiration

Gudrun’s father is a true craftsman. As a skilled contractor, builder, and woodworker, he doesn't just build houses, he creates spaces filled with thoughtfulness and function. Growing up in Iceland, Gudrun watched her father fix what was broken and create what didn’t exist. He built their home from the ground up, and is STILL improving their childhood home. He never let a challenge go unsolved, always finding a clever solution with tools in hand.

That same spirit of creativity and self-reliance inspired Gudrun to begin making things too. The problem-solving mindset her father modeled now lives in her approach to quilting. Stripology, with its focus on accuracy and efficiency, carries forward the legacy of crafting with care and purpose.
