Jumbo-Laya - Block of the Month Program - PDF with video support

Jumbo-Laya is a nine-month mystery Block of the Month designed by Gudrun Erla. Each month brings a 32″ jumbo block inspired by a different locale across Louisiana, kept secret until release day. Big blocks mean faster cutting, quicker piecing, and a finished block you can hold up at the end of an afternoon.

One block opens the door. Repeat a favourite, mix and match from your growing block library, and add sashing and borders to land where you want.

The sizes in your intro PDF include 2″ sashing between blocks and a 2″ finished border.
Fabric
This quilt is wonderfully scrappy, but if you prefer a consistent background you will need 6 yards (or two 3-yard cuts). Sixteen ½-yard cuts complete all nine blocks, which makes it a perfect use for Bundle Club selections. Sashing, border and binding yardage varies by size and is listed in the intro PDF.
One block makes a NICU quilt

Great Block! had fun creating the block. Great way to learn how to use the XL ruler effectively! I liked the GE method to create Flying Geese! I’ve made them several times other ways…but found this way to be easy and accurate!!
Versatile block of the month project. There are so many options, stand alone crib size all the way up to a king size quilt. Easy directions and goes together nicely. It's a great way to is up some scraps also.

It hasn’t started yet so I can’t give an accurate review. I only can say that in past all GE. Programs do not disappoint and I am looking forward to start this one.
