Great quilting projects to complete before the Holidays!

Great quilting projects to complete before the Holidays!

Happy Holidays!

As you may know, I like to sew "in season" and am accustomed to working with a deadline. Hahaha! That sounds better than I like to wait the last minute, doesn't it? No matter how you like to phrase it, there's still time to share some quilty goodness with your loved ones! Keep reading and you'll see what I mean.

Have a free afternoon or enjoy some late night sewing? Try one of these:

GE Quilt Designs Strippy Forest Table Runner Strippy Forest Table Runner from Stripology Mixology, available in an E-book in the Shop if you want it NOW. Both the table runner and wall hanging size could be made with fabrics pulled from your own "collection."

December's Fast & Furious Club project, the Noelle Tree Skirt also includes a smaller table topper size. It's Quilt As You Go and includes a video class to walk you thru the construction. Try using winter themed fabrics to keep your center piece out longer.

Have an outdoor enthusiast on your list? Why not try a Tree Time Place Mat or two? Also created using the Quilt As You Go method, this is a quick and easy project that highlights any focus print up to 10" H x 9" W. We've even got a few Explore panels and kits in blue and red available for you here

We've got some great FREE patterns and videos that work up beautifully for holiday gifts.

Cane Toss Runner ~ to create this holiday favorite, watch the video, reference the Corn Toss pattern and add the Candy Cane Applique, here's a link to both patterns.

Scrappy Stocking Large and Scrappy Mini Stocking are great quick little gems made from strips pulled from your stash. Here's the video tutorial to help you whip these up in no time.

And for a really fast finish, try making one of these two candle mats. You can practice your partial seams while making the first mat and incorporate fusible webbing into the Quilt As You Go method while making the second. I demonstrate how to make the red candle mat during Tipsy Tuesday episode #31.

If quilting during the next few weeks is too much, here are some of my favorite gifts and stocking stuffers for those quilter friends (or maybe for yourself?)

New Creative Grids cutting mats designed with the Stripologist in mind. Available in the shop in 2 sizes: 12" x 18" and 18" x 24".

The Fast & Furious Club Trimester 2 projects are now available. Three Quilt As You Go projects and video classes release on the 20th of December, January and February. All are available singly and we have many fabric kits available too.

The Ava quilt will be our 2020 Sew Along pattern. Get a head start by reviewing the pattern now.

And last but not least, stocking stuffers! GEasy Point Trimmers, GEasy Ruler Stickers and a fresh clean cut with a new scissors are guaranteed to please every quilter.

I hope these suggestions help make your holiday an enjoyable one. And if you don't get any quilting done between now and then, I hope Santa brings you some free time!

As always, keep strippin'

Gudrun
