This table runner kit receives high praise for its beautiful appearance and attractive color selection. Customers said it "looks beautiful" with appealing colors. However, one shopper noted fabric shortage issues, specifically being "a little short on the all yellow print" requiring cutting and piecing.
I just opened up my kit to start it. There are only 4 fat quarters not five. I doubt I have enough fabric to double up on one of them. There is a purple print, orange print, dark blue tone on tone, and a blue print. I unfolded everything to make sure one was not hidden somewhere. Can you please send me a fat quarter. I doubt there is enough fabric to double up on one of them. Not going to start cutting until I hear from you.
I made this quilt after a trip to Iceland. I use it every winter and I love the memories it brings back to me.
Always great!
I submitted my Make Do and Mend Wall Quilt at the Minnesota State Fair along with 4 other items (including my flying geese temperature quilt that I did with Perfect Pair last year. ) I look forward to seeing it displayed in the Creative Arts Building.
Loved this kit. Panels were awesome and square, which is unusual. Fabric was beautiful. Easy to make and turned out great.. My cousin is going to love this quilt for his Lake House. Can’t wait to gift it. Thank you for the perfect kit! Just what I have been searching for….
I was quite disappointed in the cutting of the panel. I’m not certain how a quilt shop can whack this off the bolt and not follow the cutting lines. On both sides of the panel I was left with less than 1/8 inch of fabric in some areas. In order to maintain the integrity of the panel I had to carefully sew and the reinforce those areas with iron on interfacing. All because no care was taken while cutting.
Hi Elaine!
We are sorry to hear about your experience with this kit. Please reach out to us at Help@gequiltdesigns.com with any pictures you may have. Thank you!
Tilda is a very different pattern designer than Gudrun. Her patterns have way too many pieces and they are tiny. I only attempted this kit because I knew I would get help from gudruns videos. There was plenty of fabric provided. I made a serious cutting error and still had enough to recover. Without gudruns video help I would not have had the courage to do this project.
I made two wall hangings, 39"x48", from one kit. My favorite pattern so far. I only do Gudren's patterns. Love the stripology rulers.
I love the quilt, love the fabric choices BUT several of the fq’s were not quite wide enough to get complete strips without cutting into the selvage. Luckily I noticed this before starting. Did I absolute minimum on straightening up opposite end. Still, I ended up having to take some wider seam allowances in order to get rid of the white selvage from sewing. I also assembled my quilt more closer to the order of colors we saw on the spectacular Aurora show May 10/11 with the pink and green colors in reverse places.
I love the pattern and the fabrics are beautiful. I can’t wait to start it.
I am very excited to start sewing this kit! I was going to buy fabrics for this panel but when Gudrun came out with a kit I knew I had to buy it! Gudrun has the best choices of fabrics for this panel! Thanks Gudrun! You are the best! I’ll post a photo in the crew when I finish it.
Hi Juls! We're thrilled to hear you're excited to start sewing your kit. Gudrun's fabric choices are indeed wonderful, and we can't wait to see your finished quilt. Thanks so much for your lovely feedback!
It looks beautiful. I haven’t used it as yet
Hi Sueann, we're so glad you find the table runner beautiful! We hope you enjoy using it when the time comes. Thanks for sharing your experience!
I thought I might precut this before a cruise with sewing machine. I really like the turquoise shades.
What can I use for backing for this quilt? Would like your opinion.
Thank you.
