We don’t know about you, but we at GE Quilt Designs LOVE Fall! We call it the start of quilting season. The temperatures start to drop, the clouds roll in, and the daylight wanes as we seem to be ushered into our sewing rooms. It’s the perfect time of year to create something warm and cozy, especially with minky.

From cuddle weather, to harvest, to Halloween, fall offers plenty of inspiration for your next project. And while it may be spooky season, minky doesn’t have to be scary, you just need patience, pins, and a vacuum  😉

Whether you know it as Cuddle or Minky, we love to use this fabric as backing for our quilts. It makes them a little heavier and oh so cuddly. 

          

We also love making minky/cuddle blankets, where both sides are like a soft and cozy hug! Not only are they fast to make, they make great gifts. People of all ages LOVE to wrap up and stay warm in these perfect blankets.
