Strip Down Strip Along Part 3

Part 3 of the Strip Down Strip Along was launched on the Friday April 20th Live Facebook Friday show in the group Gudrun's Quilt Crew. If you are on Facebook, join the Crew and you can go and watch previous videos, including this one where I demonstrate the next part of our Strip Along.

In this part we will be working through steps 5 and 6 in the pattern.

You should have had all your 8-patch units done in the last part. 

Take the layered rectangles that you cut in step 2, to your sewing machine and sew them together as they are layered.

You should have 4 of the same pairs. Press two of the pairs towards the dark fabric and the other two towards the light/medium fabric. 

Move on to step 6 and sew the units pressed to the dark on the top of the 8-patches and the ones pressed to the light to the bottom. 

Press both seams down.

Go ahead and finish all your blocks.

In the last part of our Strip Along, which will be released next week, we will go through how to put your blocks together. I will also give you some ideas on how you can use the bonus 4-patches from step 2.
